Cross-Border Hub Lab
Innovation and cooperation between Spain and Portugal for the development of La Raya.
The Cross-Border Hub Lab is a project of the Social and Territorial Innovation Centre La Estrella Salamanca–Ciudad Rodrigo, funded by the Junta de Castilla y León, which promotes innovation and cooperation between Spain and Portugal to contribute to the development of La Raya. This space facilitates collaboration between companies, entrepreneurs, administrations and knowledge entities on both sides of the border. Its purpose is to share experiences, connect capabilities and transform ideas into products, services and solutions that respond to the needs of the territory.
What does it bring to the community?
The Hub helps address local challenges through joint work and access to specialised knowledge. It offers support for developing innovative proposals, testing solutions before launching them and establishing collaborations with Portuguese organisations. Thus, it seeks to improve available services, strengthen economic activity and generate opportunities in rural areas.
Its activity is coordinated with the Oficina de la Raya, which identifies needs and supports people and entities driving initiatives. When an initiative requires innovation, experimentation or cross-border cooperation, the Hub provides the specialised support needed to advance its development.
