Ciudad Rodrigo was the meeting point for the 103 participants of the XI International Congress of Latin American Geography, from various countries such as Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Peru and Uruguay.
The delegates were received in the plenary hall of the Casa Consistorial by the deputy mayor, Ramón Sastre, and the councillor, Víctor Gómez, who offered a warm welcome on behalf of the City Council. During the event, attendees received information bags about the town.
The day continued with a guided tour of the main historical and cultural sites of Ciudad Rodrigo, allowing visitors to get a closer look at the heritage of this Salamancan city.
