At the Palacio de Congresos, the Centro de Innovación Social “La Estrella” was presented during the Startup Olé event. Marcos Iglesias, mayor of Ciudad Rodrigo, highlighted the goal of establishing this centre as a benchmark in the province.
The “La Estrella” Centre will be open to the public, promoting active participation and circular innovation, where people are at the core of all initiatives.
The centre is designed to inspire creativity and will feature a variety of spaces, including a coworking area, a hall for small conferences, areas dedicated to innovation, social impact schools and a HUB incubator for social entrepreneurship…
Julio Nager, Innovation Agent, stated that “Ciudad Rodrigo is the gateway to innovation”, underlining the importance of the municipality.
The centre’s facilities include an educational projector, the “Design for Change” programme, the Social Entrepreneurship Award, a Hospitality School and a Work Café, all aimed at creating a collaborative and dynamic ecosystem.
