The mayor of Ciudad Rodrigo, Marcos Iglesias, visited the Centro de Innovación Social para el Desarrollo Local Sostenible (CIS) La Noria, in Málaga. The purpose of the visit was to get a close-up view of how this successful space operates and to explore the possibility of applying some of its strategies in the future CIS to be created in Ciudad Rodrigo, at the former health centre on Avenida Agustín de Foxá.
For the creation of this new centre, both Ciudad Rodrigo Town Council and Diputación de Salamanca have each received a grant of €25,000, provided by the Dirección General de Acción Exterior of the Junta de Castilla y León. Ciudad Rodrigo Town Council will use this funding to refurbish the former health centre and transform it into a CIS.
