The Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO), through the Network of Territorial Innovation Centres (Red CIT), of which CIS La Estrella is a member, and the Ciudad de la Energía Foundation (CIUDEN), has opened the call for the Second Edition of the RE-CREA RURAL 2026 Awards, the micro-video competition aimed at showcasing creativity and innovation in Spain's rural areas.
People over 18 years old residing in Spain and entities, associations, cooperatives, foundations, universities and cultural groups with legal representation may take part. The videos, lasting a maximum of 90 seconds, must tell inspiring stories reflecting the cultural richness, entrepreneurship and opportunities of rural areas.
The entry period is open until April 6, 2026. Prizes include €1,500 for first place, €1,000 for second and €500 for third, plus honourable mentions. The finalist videos will be screened on April 17 at La Térmica Cultural (Ponferrada) during the VII Annual Meeting of the Red CIT.

It must reflect innovative initiatives, stories or perspectives on rural areas: opportunities, entrepreneurship, culture, creativity, community…
3. Upload it to Instagram
Post your video on your profile, tagging:
