Plaza del Buen Alcalde hosted the Botijeros Fair, and despite the rainy morning, the square's characteristic arches allowed all the planned activities to take place.
Throughout the day, a lively market was held, traditional games were played, and a demonstration of the traditional pig-slaughtering task was offered. The activity was organised by the Ciudad Rodrigo Town Council, with the notable collaboration of the Amanecer women's collective, Rosario Pérez Olaya, and other volunteers, who contributed their effort and knowledge to keep this popular tradition alive.
