The Ciudad Rodrigo International Tournament 2026 has been present these days at FITUR (International Tourism Fair), held at IFEMA (Madrid). A key promotional action that reinforces not only the growth of the event, but also the positioning of Ciudad Rodrigo as an ideal destination for hosting congresses and events.
The tournament's organisation wishes to highlight and give thanks for the privilege of being able to take part in FITUR with a high-quality stand, representing Ciudad Rodrigo and Almeida, a joint space between Spain and Portugal that has helped give visibility to a sports project bringing together grassroots sport, tourism and community life, which in 2026 will take place on 26, 27 and 28 June.
The presence at the fair has made it possible to hold meetings and encounters with different countries, municipalities and institutions, both national and international, with the aim of continuing to grow, expanding the number of participants and consolidating the tournament as a benchmark in grassroots futsal.
The organisation would like to express special thanks to the Ayuntamiento de Ciudad Rodrigo (Ciudad Rodrigo Town Council), for its constant support and for all the facilities provided so that the tournament can continue to develop and improve year after year. In particular, the involvement of Marcos Iglesias, Mayor of Ciudad Rodrigo, and Víctor Gómez, Councillor for Sports, is highlighted, whose collaboration is essential in driving forward an event that carries the city's name beyond our borders.
